Junior Girl Scout and the pottery badge.
Your Junior Girl Scouts will complete all of their requirements for their Clay and Ceramics badge. This will include learning about clay and pottery, watching demonstrations, making a hand-built project and making a project on the potter's wheel. These two projects for each girl will be fired and glazed by Clay With Me, or can be glazed at a second meeting. Pottery will be available to return to the girls approximately 3 weeks after the event.
Juniors, Cadets, Seniors and wheel classes:
We have been offering wheel classes for Scout troops. There will be two meetings, clay, glazing, firing and instruction. We have 2 stationary and 1 portable pottery wheels.
The wheel class is a longer meeting, usually 1.5 hours, and the glazing requires 1 hour. Troops
come back in 2 weeks to glaze the pottery.
We offer workshops for all Scout Troops. This also includes a "tour" of our Studio and Gallery area. Therefore, it is NOT suggested for pre-school siblings to attend. In addition, parking is LIMITED at our location. So please plan to carpool!!! No individual girl drop-off or pickups! And due to the fact that our space is limited in the studio, only Safety-Wise adults please!
